The big news of the month was the announcement of Crested Butte Mountain Resort joining Vail’s EPIC pass. Epic pass holders will get 7 days of skiing/riding at Crested Butte. They have discontinued the partnership with Winter Park/Steamboat which gave those pass holders 3 days at CB. When that program started, we saw a increase in Denver and Front Range skiers and I think those numbers should be about the same with the Epic Pass holders. We need a good snow year to make up for this year so hopefully it will all happen next season.

As we near the end of the 2017/2018 ski season, I have to say, I had a lot of fun skiing! It wasn’t the epicness of last season but it was still a great time. The mountain was managed well and they did a great job with snow making and grooming. Closing weekend is upon us in a few short days and it is supposed to snow, ironically. It will still be a really fun weekend of live music and pond skimming! It is always bittersweet, no more lift served skiing yet summer is on the way! Start tuning up your mountain bikes and hiking shoes, our trails should open a lot sooner than they did last year!

I am continuing to see signs of shrinking inventory in our market. Just in the last two weeks, myself and several agents in my office have been involved in quite a few multiple offer scenarios on new property that hits the market. It hasn’t spread to the entire market but we are still seeing a lot of shifting happening across the board. This off season and summer are going to be busy! New Business in Town! Scout’s General open their doors on March 2nd. The owners, Amy and Joel Wisian, are probably some of the nicest and friendliest people you will ever meet, next to their two amazing kids, of course!
