By the People, For the People!

This weekend is the People’s Fair! If you miss having the Art Festival on Elk Avenue, then you don’t want to miss the fair this weekend! The People’s Fair is generally made of up of local artists and craftsman. It is wonderful to see our local rockstars getting to display and sell their art. There will also be amazing sidewalk sales at all of the local businesses, so make sure you stop by and support the locals!

August remained busy with real estate contracts in Crested Butte. We saw 74 properties go under contract since August 1st. We also saw 70 price reductions in the last 30 days. Of those 70 price reductions, 11 went under contract. There are some really great properties for sale and the prices are normalizing! It is a fantastic time to buy real estate so if you’re looking or thinking about it, let’s talk about the best deals right now. Bidding wars are practically a thing of the past and there are some great ways to negotiate with sellers that you may not be considering!

I think it is important to understand What is Really Happening with Home Pricesright now. While we are seeing a lot of price reductions, the home values are still appreciating!

Everyone wants to know when to come to see the best fall colors, the truth is, it is different every year! Right now, almost all the leaves are still green. I am predicting a peak in the fall colors around the third week of September. I will update you next week! Sometimes, it can happen over night. That’s one of my favorite things about nature, it is unpredictable.

Have a great weekend!
