Can you believe there are only two weeks left in this ski season? Well, at least for Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Vail Resorts announced that they are extending the season at some of their bigger mountains, I was selfishly hoping they would extend our season too. I know our service industry needs a break though, so I am glad that they will get that soon. Speaking of Vail Resorts, they also just announced that they are raising their minimum wage for employees to $20/hr and that they are committed to investing in affordable housing. This certainly is a step in the right direction and I hope they stick to it.

I am super excited for my friend who just opened the doors to his new restaurant in CB South: The Wooden Spoon Country Store. They have a full menu for lunch and dinner plus grab and go breakfast and coffee. They also have a small grocery store with the important necessities. This is an amazing addition to the fast growing commercial district in CB South. Make sure to check it out!!

The weather is feeling a little spring like in Crested Butte with cold mornings and warm and sunny afternoons, however, this weather can create major ice dams on your roof with the freeze, thaw, freeze process. Make sure you keep your eyes open for any water that is penetrating into your house as it can really wreak havoc. Make sure your roof is cleared of snow, especially in the valleys where the ice can build up.
