My video this week is actually pretty timely! In my personal business, I had 6 properties go under contract this week! Market wide, 21 properties went under contract in 7 days. That is 3 a day! Since September 1st, 48 properties went under contract with a total volume of $74 million. This is important news today because the media and news would sure like you to believe that the housing market is crashing and burning. It isn’t, in fact I am seeing more buyer confidence this month than I have all year. Don’t forget that you have options with your loan rate and what is in the news, isn’t going to be the rate you lock in. There are also some great programs that allow you to buy down your interest rate. This could also be something a seller could do for you as a part of the contract negotiation.

This weekend will be a busy one in Crested Butte! There are a lot of fun events plus so many people are coming to see the amazing colors! It is also a three day weekend for the local school kids so they are all very pumped!
