Happy Earth Day! We are so lucky to live on this beautiful planet and have a tie to a place like Crested Butte. There really isn’t anywhere in the world that shows off Earth Day better than Crested Butte. We are coming up on the most incredible time of year with wildflowers, rivers, mountain views and all things Crested Butte. However, today, winds hit a record of over 50 MPH and even tore off roofs of properties and shattered one of my heavy duty listing signs. I say this as I am sitting in the Caribbean Ocean with my family, which is also a place of wonder and gratefulness. I usually don’t talk about my vacations too often but this one is special to be with my family in a beautiful place. I promise I am still working, that’s what my kids remind me of every day, but we are also having a wonderful spring break. I am not sad to miss the wind but we also can’t wait to be back in beautiful Crested Butte!
Even though a lot of locals are on vacation this week, it has been busy! We have seen 15 new listings hit the market, 15 properties go under contract and 15 closings! That’s a lot of 15’s! This is from Gunnison to Mt. Crested Butte. I know people are concerned about the rising prices and interest rates but I still believe that there is a great opportunity to buy real estate right now and it is still a great time to sell and to buy!
